The Global G-42/41 Magnetic Knife Holder has a very strong hold and unique way of of doing it. So there are no rusty magnet rails and there is no movement after placement with the magnetic fields pushing them.Contrary to other readings the knife cleverly and very precisely does not touch any of the surface and only touches the outer rim on both sides which is rolled stainless about 2mm wide but really touches the apex for minimal contact.It misses the rest of the holder by a small margin as seen in my photos keeping scratch marks from happening for the nice knives.The magnets are strong but by putting the spine on first and rolling the knife flat and then breaking it to the spine in reverse makes it easy for removal and leaves the edge untouched.This item is precise /showy/very low maintenance and goes with knives and makes a nice display. Ogg Sharpening is stocking this one at present but the longer ones are available on request.The G-42/41 has 370mm of magnet space and is plenty long enough for 8 knives and little space in between.Very well made and yep, Made In Japan
